It is day 19 here, really expected to see a pip when I checked this morning, nothing yet. Guess my last 3 hatches spoiled me by starting on day 19...lol But the day isnt over yet!!!!!
So cant wait to see what hatches!!!!!!
I aquired another Silver Partridge Silkie, she is 6 months old and her name is Siren.
Now to find the ever allusive Silver cockerel and I will have a breeding trio.

I candled my eggs last night and saw dark spots in 3, 4th I didn't see anything. Could have been my eyes, am going to check again in a few days.

My son has a broody BLR Wyandotte. He is planning putting eggs under her tomorrow (8/29). Will be picking out 6 eggs for her to hatch. He has a BLRW rooster and 3 hens. 1 GLW, 1 Brown leghorn and 10 white leghorns. It will be fun to see what we get.

Ok I was in the August hatch along with my first hatch and something went wrong with the bator (lg still air)

0 outta 30 eggs so devastating

so I got a new to me bator (Hova-bator 1583) at a local hatchery (great deal

) so we are gonna try this again for my second hatch and I want to give my eggs the best possible chance this time so I have a few questions do you wash your eggs before setting them? if you do, do you wash with anything special? how long do you let them dry before putting them in etc..... If I have to wait a day or two do I turn them while i'm waiting to put them in the bator? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions

but for my kids sake I really want some chicks to hatch they were so upset last time and I love the new bator with the picture window so much easier to see

anyways I know all the great "peeps" on her will help me out with great advice

Grrrrr!!!! Only day 10!! Can't even stand it!!! How I made it through 9 whole months of pregnancy, but I can hardly make it through 3 weeks of my first incubation, I'll never know!!

Ohhhh!!! I re candled this morning!! I have 6 little embryos moving around!!! I set 8, one never looked fertile, 1 died. The others seem to be doing good so far! Halfway there!!!
