Well, I am on day 4, I don't really see much but I am going to look at it and hopefully, by day 10, it will have healthy, growing embryos.
Then again, such a dark shell it will take a bit to be able to see it.

the 18+ serama eggs i posted the pic of went into the bator a few hours ago and tomorrow the 12+ more that i won should be here and go in the bator saturday



18+ should hatch the 13th and the 12+ should hatch the 14th

I I think I am done hatching. have so many chicks to grow out. 5 different breeds of purebred chickens. Auction addicted...LOL I still have to set on my hands.
Have one group of eggs that might make September hatch. Due the 31th of August. Homegrown eggs 13 EE/blue splash ameruacana. They make beautiful barnyard chickens and are a little more hardy. 11 brown leghorns I just like them.
I am suppose to get some replacement eggs (crest cream legbars) I'll hatch them if I get them.
I turned my chicken loose together to reduce temptation of hatching....my other are not laying right now.
I am going to join you all any way I learn so much just listening....

Hello everyone! I've come to join the fun as well I have....not even sure anymore lol... 14 chickens and 22 pharoh quail eggs set I think. They're on day 6 and I'm crossing my fingers that september goes as well for all of us as august did ! Good luck to everyone

Day 7! The eggs that were sent dont look great quality. shell wise. But I did candle one and there was growth!

OMGoodness......what a hen..............I have one that broods two times a year and gave her a gold star and all the grapes she wants for that..........

Did your hen raise her chicks or do you raise them yourself?.Also, she is beautiful.........

Thank You! She is the best hen! So friendly and a good mum. I let her raise chicks the first time she went broody this year in February which was freezing so she did amazing to hatch 6 out of 6 and those chicks have just started laying!

Since then she went broody 2 more times and I just had to lock her out of the cage but now her 4th time I gave in and got some more on ebay. Im hatching these ones for a friend.
I prefer to hatch using a broody as I think its much better for the chicks as you let her get on with it.
Have you had any good hatches this year? What hens do you have?

All of the embryos are dead! I want to smash that company...(Brower) Their incubator has such a horrible temperature management...The light flashes on and off according to the temperature set at-99.5 for me, so after adding some water the temperature went up, well guess what that light isn't supposed to be on if it is OVER the temperature. So overnight, it sky rocketed to 111 degrees, killing every one of them. Oh let me Tell ya, that company will pay!
All of those bad hatches-they better give my money back! I am going to send them a letter about that.... I am so mad...
