I was confused for a second by what honker meant! You mean he’s a larger Serama? I first thought that you meant he’s quite loud.

My Sherlock is ridiculously loud and high pitched. Every time he crows, he feels he must crow at least five times in a row with but a breath between each crow . One day, he was particularly insistent, so he crowed about twenty times in a row. That was a rough wake up call.

I both look forward to and dread seeing if the cockerels from this hatch develop Sherlock’s crowing habits!

It has been a while since my last Serama update, or it at least feels that way because of how quickly the chicks are growing!

All of the Seramas are doing quite well thus far, and they are a joy to watch and listen to.

Nancy and Sherlock are amazing parents. So many happy, adorable chicks! I’d love to see what they will look like all grown up. Please continue to update.

Yeah, they’re all so sweet! Nancy doesn’t appreciate my holding the chicks, though. I may have scars before long!
