Alrighty today is day 21... I have seen no pipping... which scares me. If none hatch, I say it is due to my time of not turning them for those few days. I'm hoping for at least one of the three to hatch for me.

I hope this chart helps. In colors, black is dominant so if the black rooster was the sire, chances are the majority of your chicks are not from him. Sounds like you have some hidden silkied genetics all around
Ok I candled... if you saw my earlier posts I had to go out of town when the chicks were on day 12 ... it looks like they got stuck to one side of the egg .if they go pay day 22, I'd candle and check for life.

not sure why i never found that chart, but i appreciate it. Now I'll have to study it and map mine out. The more black male is younger and just starting to get the girls to submit. But if i can still get silkies by using him, that will be helpful because his type is better.

Looks like the blood vessels have receeded... no blood ring of course... should I open the membrane and not the the egg, too?
