Serama Hatch-A-Long!!

I usually try for 65-70% It dropped down below 50% at one point today. I think having the heat on is sucking the moisture out of the air. I've got humidity back up, but my earlier pips are shrink wrapped

I'd give them at least 12 hours from the point of external pip and then go ahead and help them out. I think my little one from this last hatch got a bit shrink wrapped (membrane was stuck to the chick around the eye area) just from me briefly removing the egg to check whether there was a pip (it'd pipped facing the tray).

Have you done a help out before? I can give a couple tips on how I do it if needed.

Its nearly 12 hrs since pip. I've assisted twice recently with malpositions. Haven't had a shrink wrap this bad before. Before this fall I hadent hatched in years, have to say I remember it being much easier

Oh, they are precious!! :love. I am so happy you got some chicks!!

how are yours doing?

I had a couple of internal pips last night that had not pipped this morning. I opened them up and as I suspected, humidity was way too high for them out in the coop with all this rain. One is malpositioned but the other two were just completely filling the egg. They are doing well now. The two I can see are SO cute! They have black and white faces, so I am so excited to see them out!

Adorable! I especially like Boo / Bo! Those cheek poofs are irresistible.
