Hey, I recently purchased my first pair of Seramas and am now incubating some eggs hoping to get babies. I was wondering what a reasonable price to sell them would be? Would it be more profitable to sell them as older birds or sell them as chicks? Thanks!

Prices depend greatly on your location, supply, demand, and quality of the birds.

Ok, they are quality show birds. Our friend who we purchased them from got all of his breeding stock from a breeder in Louisiana (can't remember who) who breeds show chickens. The breeder we got them from also only breeds pure bred show birds. I was thinking about maybe 50-75$ for pricing do you think that would be reasonable? Thank you!

Start as high as you want and let people make offers. But do your homework on serama genetics. Even the best birds can have "not so great" offspring, and pet quality seramas can produce some beautiful offspring. So if you want to grow them out to judge them for yourself, you may get more money. Or you may end up with crappy birds that you will have to sell for less. So it depends on your overall goals.

Yes I have done research and know the percentage for Serama hatches are on the low side. Thank you for the source I will have to check out his articles. I was asking in order to gain knowledge about the breed and the pricing for specific birds etc. in the event that I do get a good hatch and also because these are my first Seramas so I'm looking forward to producing, learning, and eventually showing this breed
