Hi all! I bought some serama eggs on ebay and was blessed with these 4 lovely chicks. They hatched on May 13th. It's going to probably take more photos then I have and maybe a bit more time but I'm hoping someone can help me start figuring out whether we have boys or girls. Each chick is a different pattern. One has dark "makeup" around its eyes, one is lighter, One is almost black, and the last is brownish. The brownish one had a lot of trouble hatching and has been smaller and feathering a bit slower than the rest but is the same age. Ideally I'd love 4 girls or 3 girls and a very well mannered rooster, haha. Thank you so much in advance and I apologize that these late night pictures are probably not even close to helpful. I will post more as soon as I can.

I'm sure you know its too early. But I'm watching for updates!
I'm sure it won't be too much longer! I read that they mature a bit faster than most breeds. From what I see the lighter one has the biggest tail and comb so far. Time will tell. Making this thread now is just going to remind me to update it when they have some actual development going on.

Hello! I have been keeping photos of my Serama babies over the past years. I have indicated on the picture the age by days and the final gender. Hope you can use these to compare your beautiful babies to! If I had to guess the little grey/black on the far left is a roo. He has the look to me.

I am currently waiting the final gender "reveal" of my current babies. I have separated the suspected boys from the girls at this time...I will post future pictures when I feel I have determined their gender. Pictures 4 and 5 (if they uploaded the way I see them now) are my yet-to-be-determined. The smooth is a roo, as are the grey and white frizzle and the black and rust frizzle. Those 3 are crowing as of yesterday. They are 30 days old.

Thank you for being so helpful and posting pictures. They all are so adorable! I will post pictures today of my 4 in natural lighting. I know one of them is trying to crow already. Just not sure who it is. My guess is that grey/black one is a roo and that the larger lighter colored one is also a roo.
