Hi all,
I got this chick last year with a group of other birds and was wondering how common hen feathering is. I know breeds like sebright have hen feathered roosters but none of the birds the previous owner had, were hen feathered.. what's your opinion?

Not hen feathered. You can see he has pointed hackle feathers.
He’s partially hen feathered. I’ve seen sebright crosses and American gamefowl with mostly rounded feathers and a few pointed ones. You can tell they have the hen feathering gene because they have female specific colorations.
I’ve only ever seen one serama with hen feathering, and I think he was a cross. Are you sure that the previous owner had no other hen feathered birds? Hen feathering is a dominant gene, so it wouldn’t just randomly pop up.
