Hello! I have a 9 month old roo. I was told he is a serama when I got him. He has feathered feet which I dont see on seramas normally. She had seramas and silkies so I'm wondering if I have a mix.

I agree he does not appear to have any silkie in him. If he had 5 toes that would lean towards silkie, but some 1st gen silkie crosses have only 4 toes. I just hatched some.😊

I know some Seramas have silkied feathers, so I assume the two breeds were crossed at some point in the past--maybe this fellow got his feathered feet from a distant Silkie ancestor, even though he did not get the silkie feathers. That would explain why he looks so much like a Serama otherwise (single comb, no 5th toe, no dark skin, no crest, and I think he is standing more like a Serama than a Silkie.)
