Was able to get a prescription for the same eye drops your using, let's see if that helps. I will start on the drops today

Good luck! Hope it is effective. I wish I knew what my girl was actually dealing with to figure out why/if it is working, but I think I'll probably never know the cause. I will say, the drops are much harder to administer than the antibiotics. I probably squeeze out 3-4 to get one reasonably in the eye.

Is that Baytril 10% or 22.7%?

I may have confused things a little by talking about my hen with eye problems on Tony's thread. Her issues are covered in a different thread, but she (the 6.1 lb girl) is getting the 0.7 mL of Baytril. I just looked at the bottle from the vet, and the label just says "Baytril Oral Suspension" but does not have the concentration. It's not in the original packaging, he filled up a bottle for me with the prescribed amount, so I don't have any other info. But same question as Tony- are you asking because of concerns about the dosage?

First... let me point out that my previous post said 22.7% when it should have said 2.27%. Then yes, that is why I asked, because 0.7ml = 70mg with the Enroflox 100, but your vet might have made a suspension by crushing tablets, so the amount of mg in .7ml would most likely be different.

When using something like Enroflox 100 would give a 6.1 pound bird no more than 0.56ml once a day. Best always to know how many mg are in one ml, then all you have to do is a little math.

If you are giving just 0.01ml, that's not enough. If you're giving 0.1 that a little on the high side. Make sense?
