Hi my seramas are about 17weeks old and we have 3 of them. We now found two eggs. They are perfectly intact and they laid them in the nesting box, but I don't know which of the Seramas are hens and which are roosters if any. None of the Seramas sat on the eggs and they didn't seem too concerned when I removed the eggs either. Can we eat the first eggs, they are perfectly intact. Please see video and if you can help me figure out their sec i'd appreciate it! thanks!

They won't set on the eggs unless they "go broody." Some hens never go broody. They don't normally (if they're going to) until they've been laying for a while. You'll know they're broody if they stay on the nest day and night for at least two or three nights. Gather the eggs every day.

Have you heard any crowing? By the time pullets are old enough to lay eggs, cockerels are usually crowing pretty obviously.

I don't think I see any males in those photos, but it's a bit hard for me to tell on frizzles, so I may be wrong there.

Thank you! One sort of crows so i'm curious if the black one is a male or not?

The black frizzled? I don't think it is, no. I'd expect a lot more from a 4 month old serama male.

Then again, crowing at 4 months is a sign. Hope you can get that video soon, so you can know what your seramas are
