Serious Eye Infection in my silkie hen!!!!

I don't have any tylan. I wish tractor supply was open, but being Sunday almost everything is closed right now. I'll try to apply some pressure in that cleft real quick and see what happens. I just don't know why I didn't think of reading this to get some tylan before the whole trip to vet and no help. Ugh

What is that white stuff in the eye? I did find a few white chunks up in her eyelid when I started cleaning them a couple days ago, but I got it all out. They had more of a texture rather than being drips of puss

The clumps are pus. Pus in poultry gets hard, I think there is more in your hen.

OK I just tried applying pressure from the front and all the way to the back around and in the cleft and couldn't see anything coming out. I can open her eyes and show u too. I haven't looked up in her eyelid for a couple days so there could be more white in there by now since those eye drops aren't helping.

OK so I cleaned her eyes again and attempted to open the really bad one and then took pics of the other one too. She can kinda open her left eye but it doesn't stay open for long. Here is right after I clean them. And the scabs right behind her eyes? Idk what those are or where they came from either. Thanks so very much for helping me troubleshoot Kathy. It means a lot

I just don't know what else to do. Especially if she has spread this to others. I didn't see anymore white in her eye, but its hard to look very deep. The scab things by her eyes seem to be on a raised hard part of the skin around the eye. The vet really didn't know what it was. And I don't want the rest of my flock getting this bad. I haven't tried saline eye drops and tylan yet, and I'm guessing that is my best option?

What's that scabby looking stuff, can you get it off? Okay... I just realized that both eyes are involved, so that means she's not eating or drinking, right? Her right eye looks opaque to me, is it? Left one still looks brown, which is good.

Declaimer: I haven't seen one quite like this before, so I'm really just guessing now.

A nasal flush might bring relief too. The birds beak should be pointed towards the floor when doing it in order to avoid aspiration:

Perhaps some Neo-Poly-Bac or Terramycin eye ointment may help the eye as well.

Sulfadimethoxine is the recommended drug for Coryza. Tylan will often take care of CRD symptoms, but not Coryza.

You need to get the pus out of her eye... Is it hard or soft pus?

I don't know what those scab things are. I haven't tried getting them off. I guess I was thinking they were covering a blood spot or something, but they are really weird. I will get the tylan tmrw and praying she shows SOME kind of improvement. If you think of anything else I should try let me know. OH AND SHE IS TRYING TO EAT AND DRINK. lol she can't see very well, but when I put food in her face and tap it, she can hear it and will start pecking it however she can. That's why its so weird since she keeps trying to act normal aside from her eyes. Should I try to get those scabs off?
