I suppose when I read salt I assumed saline. Not straight salt in the eye.

I think some recipes for homemade saline do contain salt though.

Warm salt water can help clean out any bacteria in the eye that could cause infection. I'd get Terramycin eye ointment it will also keep the eyelid from crusting shut. We really do need some pictures.
Once you use the warm saline gently wipe the outside of the eye with a warm wet soft cloth. Hopefully you can remove some of the liquid that is causing the eye to crust up.
I've never heard of using turmeric powder in the eye.

Saline solution is salt in water as far as I know
Usually people boil the water to make it sterile. You can add a pinch of baking soda in as well but I'm not sure what the purpose for that is.

Yeah, that's it. That's how I made it for an eye issue. I boiled it for 15 minutes.

This also happened to my female khaki campbell. She was a attacked by a hawk. Her eye was sealed shut, and we put some Neosporin on her eye, and it opened up the next day.

I just read Tumeric eye drops are used in the eye. But it's concerning about the power that just doesn't sound like it would help.

Well maybe he mixed it in some water first. I doubt if it hurt anything.

When I had a duck with an injured eye my vet told me to put castor oil on it.
It did not regain its sight but it did not get infected either.

Normal Saline is 9 grams or 2 tsp of table salt in 1 liter of water simmered for 15 minutes, and cooled.

Pictures will definitely help. Is the eye/injury exposed? You may need to isolate the chicken for now.

Injury isn;t exposed, her eyelid is closed. SO SORRY FOR THE LATE REPLY!! My notifs were off and I though nobody saw this thread. About to add pictures.
