What breeds are they and are they full grown? Many use a kitchen or postal scale, and to get a rougher weight, you can hold the chicken on your bath scales, and then weigh yourself, and subtract your weight. Best to weigh on kitchen scales. Many hens will weigh around 4-6 pounds, but heavier weight birds can weigh 7-8 pounds. Bantams range from 1-2 pounds. Roosters can weigh a lot.

Some can be smaller, but I would guess they might be around 6-7 pounds. Hatchery and feed store birds may be smaller than the standards.

ok ..i know my buffy australorp are bigger than miss may...i havent noticed anything in aprils should i still deworm her for when she goes back with the other 2?
