LOL! It is a rant, because we make enough money to not have this problem. So trying new things to reduce costs is what I needed and what I got, mostly. And yes it is stressful!!!!

LOL! It is a rant, because we make enough money to not have this problem. So trying new things to reduce costs is what I needed and what I got, mostly. And yes it is stressful!!!!

Plus, if you are like us, once you don't have the TV on all the time (habit mostly) your electric bill goes down some and you find that those other things you are doing (working on the plants, puzzles, studying, etc.) are enjoyable and you end up not watching all of those shows anymore. Turns out they weren't all that important to begin with for us.

If it wasn't for my autistic son's addiction to toon disney, I would cut the cable too!

What he finally did was cancel the lnd line and go trac phone, canceled cable, and kept only high speed internet. He got a Netflix and Hulu subscription and bought himself a new HD TV that could get the new digital signal without cable. Now his kids get all their shows online, he gets his football shows free, and he estimated he is saving about $100/month.
