He is a beauty. I've heard of hens crowing and acting like a rooster when there aren't any males around, but I don't know it that is true or not. I had to laugh when I saw a photo of him, our first batch of chicks had some bantams, and one, Mousey, was a beautiful silver color. And oh how he hated me. It was funny, he'd come after me and I would yell his brother's name, Chippy! and Chippy would come and chase him off. We saw him up in a tree outside the kitchen once, giving me the evil eye. He eventually met his demise fighting a hawk, he was jumping and flogging at it.

Bless his evil eye heart, he died protecting his flock.

He is beautiful! I have batams and one of my males just this last week has started attacking me. He’s small so I’ve been able to swat him and scold him. I hope he’ll be sweet again with some harsh scolding.

There were no more additional egg mysteries for Roopecca. Sadly my handsome boy passed in his sleep last month. I had just finished extending his run and he enjoyed the extra room. I miss him but I’m at peace with it. He was in his normal sleep position, no sign of violence.
