Well here are my babies: All 3 black ones have spots on their heads think that could mean they are boys? Also should I be worried that one wiggled its butt, tried to poo and nothing came out? and if so any ideas as to what I can do?

I don't know if I will or not. The fathers are headed to the butcher block soon, so hopefully a few of them are girls, any males and they will be following their fathers. Where we live we can't have roos, nor do we want a ton of roos. The silkie though will stay and move in with her parents. I just hope all grow up to be hens lol I may try and hatch a few more silkies to sell, but I want to wait and see how she turns out.

Hi there hun, its rocking so ive taken the tape off it. they all seem to be moving around and i can hear them tapping. ive candled the call ducks and theres 1 that has internally pipped

...apparantly calls hatch 26 to 27 days so if thats true i should be ok. I switched the turner off last night and hand turned call eggs...Ive got all there new bed ready just need my babies

Question........ I am using a Little Giant still air incubator. Lockdown is tomorrow, do I turn them in the morning then lockdown or is my last turn tonite the last turn? Also I heard from 1 person I should tape the bator , is that necesary? Also the guineas are a day and a half behind the ducklings, so by time the ducklings hatch( crossing my fingers they do) the guineas should be in lockdown. Will it be ok to take the ducklings out while the guineas are suppose to be in lockdown?

Im waiting for my calls to hatch too, there due monday. Ive got my mother in laws indian runner eggs as her incubater broke! There due tomorrow so this little baby came early.
