@ Floridachicken, Oh my goodness, the wait will kill me.

But glad to know we might still have a chance! Don't want to throw them out too soon. Walked by a little while ago and thought I heard a peep! I think it was my imagination running away with wishful thinking.......

My ameraucanas are all doing great and are a little less freaked out by me now...

I keep going to the coop about once an hour to see if there's anything new to be seen.... darn peeps keeping me waiting!! :O

I gotta have at least two hatch today - the first one will be named by a friend (the hen that's sitting on the eggs is named after her, so as the"Godmother" she gets to name the first one) and the 2nd one will be named after my brother as it's his birthday....LOL

C'mon chickies!!!!!!!!!

My Welsummer eggs (2) were rocking and moving last night and this morning but have not piped yet

Whoo I have 10 babies out and 4 pips. One seems to be really stuck. It has externally pipped and made the hole large enough to see its beak and part of its head. Its panting and chirping desperately, but it wont zip!

I really don't want to open the incubator while there are 4 other pips. Its hard enough for me to keep humidity up in our dry house, but I would hate to lose this one because all it needed was just a little bit of help so it can move around and zip completely.

Guess it will have to wait until day 22 or 23.

I can hear the peeping under mama hen, but haven't seen pips yet......... waiting waiting waiting........ supposed to get down to 52 tonight

Brrrrr....

Sometimes mine take up to 24 hour to start zipping. They shouldn't need any help unless they are obviously shrink wrapped or have not made any progress to zip after 24-48 hours. I try not to help mine because if they can't make it out on their own its because there was something wrong with them.

Good luck!
