Rechecked some of the ones I was questioning and removed 7 more that had blood rings. Still have 67 eggs between the two bators. We just went into Day 10 with them.

halo, there are still 9 BBS Rocks and 7 EE and/or Ameraucanas in the running. Ones I couldn't really tell seem to be okay after all.

kathyinmo, I think there are still 11 of the 14 BRs left, 4 of the 6 NHs, 4 of the BLRW, 4 SLW, and the Marans Egg left.

Of the Buff Orps, there are still 11 of the orig 14 left. Of the 12 D'Anvers, there are 10 left-- another porcelain tonight that quit.

Of the original 86, 80 were shipped. I am quite pleased that at Day 10, I've only had to toss 13 out of 80! Fertility is excellent on all the eggs.

That's great! Hope you get loads of hens and just enough roosters to take care of them.

Roosevelt's baby is still standing head and shoulders above the others. I found some neat looking bantams today at TSC and the little guys run underneath her (I'm being optimistic) belly to feel protected. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Corgihouse was my "test hatch", sort of. I wanted to use my young blue roo this year, and put a couple of eggs in the bater earlier this year to see how he was doing. Also send 2 out locally to a gal who picked up some EE eggs. All the blue rocks were fertile, so Corgihouse was the first batch I shipped out. She did good! And the chicks are looking just adorable.
