Set eggs 4/6, EDD 4/27 & 4/28...wanna hatch with me??

I candled the eggs. 2 are definite duds, and the 3rd is solid dark, but no air sac, no movement, no chirping, nothing that shows any sign of life. Just the same as it was Thursday. Call me evil, but I took the 3 out. It makes no sense to me to wait for one **slight** POSSIBILITY & risk 5 perfectly healthy babies. I'm willing to risk the one to save 5.

Just chip away at the air sac end and at least see if it pipped the internal membrane...maybe?

I got my silkies hatched this morning! So far 2, but I don't think the 3rd will actually hatch. I didn't think the 3rd one ever even took:

I picked it away (went out as soon as I posted above), no pip in the membrane. Fully formed & dead.

you think a silkie can keep 12 chicks warm?? it's 60 in my basement??

I have 6 pips (one I can see a beak!), and they are sooooooo slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm supposed to be working today, and all I do is watch the bator... like watching paint dry... no, it's worse than watching paint dry....

I just want to see one fully hatch before I have to leave in a few hours!
