Lol...true...I will after #10 decides if he's going make it.
I've part hatched him. He seems weak, but still alive. He was in a right tangle, and came out foot first. He's still in the incubator, half in, half out of his shell. I've interfered as much as I'm willing too, the rest is up to him. He may still have a bit of yolk to go, so I will leave him in peace and check on him at midnight before I go to bed.
I checked the other 2 eggs, andled then opened them. Both were dead, looked like they quit yesterday (yolk more than half absorbed) and were upside down like they never found the air cell. I had seen one of the two rocking yesterday like it as trying to get oriented.
Anyway, can't complain.
I think I will only keep 3 pekins and all the cayugas (whether its 2 or 3 in the end). Ducks eat soooo much and take forever to start paying their way in eggs, and duck house can really only take 6-8 tops, so think I will sell 4. Maybe.
I just candled the eggs I am incubating to go under broody buffy. They are on day 5. Only one was definitely clear, 3 or 4 I saw blood vessels or sure. This is a result because as I said the rooster left over three weeks ago now, so
Buffy can be a mom again. Think I'm done or this year then. Maybe
