Thanks, I will. I'm pretty sure we will be buying day old chicks on Monday because we culled more than we wanted to.

I thought we all set eggs on the 18th give or take a day? How did your chicks hatch so quick? Miracle Grow? Lol

Hey, are you talking to me little chickenhawk????? If so, yes, I do use Miracle Grow. You don't???? Wow! I don't know why you are taking the long way around, LOL!
I already had eggs in my bator. I set some when you guys did, but then took them out and your lovely thread starter gave me permission to carry on with you wild gals! I have new eggs in the bator that Mrs. Fluffy Puffy and I sat on the same day and are hatching together, but I don't see her posting very often on here.....I will have to get on to her for that! And I sat new eggs in the box last night......do I have hatching fever????
On the eggs I do have going that were candled last night on day 7, one, possibly two are twins.....

They are the porcelain silkie eggs, which were the color I needed. I left them in, but am not excited at all about twins. You don't read too much that gives one hope for a decent outcome.
My runt silkie is still alive as of this morning and I saw it out from under the hen playing. This little one must be very strong to have made it this far. I lost one RIR chick overnight. Will have to keep a careful watch on Yetta that she is doing her motherly duties. Put up brooder lights over the hens so if the chicks do get out there will be added warmth.
See, my DH is always so worried that we've got all these chicks and chickens and I am always trying to tell him they don't all make it, don't worry so much. I think he is finally starting to see how this works. That's why they call it chicken math....

So for every one you lose you are allowed to add in five more.....one to make up for the chick and four to make up for the pain one feels......

Ergggggg, so I was unable to be with the incubator all weekend for day 18 and 19. I had set up an online streaming of it but it stopped.
