We started with 70 now down to 17! Bummer. As of this moment we have 2 pips! YEAH!!

We have our first chick

I went for a walk and came back to find a baby - I watched these two pips all day long and this chick hatched during the only time I left the house.

Good Morning! We have 2 chicks, a lot of pips, a couple of zips and a lot of rockers this morning. WOOHOO!

Lots of rocking in my bator! I have one pip, an Old English egg. They are such small eggs, I can't wait to see how big the chicks are!

3 chicks, 17 pips and now I have to leave to go to work.

Its going to seem like a LONG day, lol.

We have 2 now (wheaton ameraucanas). Today is day 21 and I have a 3rd pip on the BW/W ameraucana eggs, but nothing on the other 11 eggs (other side of the divider). I think their side of the bator is cooler and they may take longer. Besides turning the eggs 3 times a day, I rotated them once a day so that I wouldn't have eggs sitting in the same temperature zone the whole time, but once you do lockdown - no more rotating.

So neat to hear about all your successes and to see the picts!

I am just lovin it! Have gone out to the coop a couple of times today and tried to sneak a peek under the broodies but I don't see any action yet.

I'm kind of afraid to touch them too much now. They are still playing musical nests. Do you guys have any idea when I might see something? I'm getting impatient!
