Congrats corabee!

Mine are in lockdown. I took the rails out and laid the the eggs on their sides. I guess they'll just get knocked around some. Now that they are in lockdown, I keep checking for pips even though they are not due until Wednesday.

Mine went into lockdown Saturday night at 11:00. I checked for pips this morning, but nothing yet. When I candled before lockdown, they were all going strong, so I'm hopeful that they all hatch.

As far as the egg carton method, I don't really like it, for some reason. Never tried it, so that isn't experience talking, the straight up and down just doesn't seem natural. What I do is create little trays for them to hatch in individually. First time, I used napkins with the sides folded up, but I didn't make them deep enough, so some rolled out. This time, I'm using cupcake papers. Two papers each, and I scrunched the sides down first. When I put the eggs in them, the sides sort of "hugged" the egg. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Im almost halfway into the 19th day and I have a pip!! A little tiny pip but its a pip!!

YEAH!! This is so exciting!! Who needs cable TV when we have eggs in the 'bator!

Congratulations to all those who have pips, zips and chicks! My very first EVER emerged this morning and I'm beyond thrilled! This is day 23 for me...
