I woke up this morning to 8 chicks and one zipping and popped out right in front of me! So that makes 9 out of 10!!!

Im still wondering about the other one it's just now day 21 so maybe it will hatch after all!

Just found this thread last night so I'm joining in very late. I have 6 mallard eggs due on 12/19 and 10 chicken eggs due last night. Woke this morning and found my first pip! Yeah!

My first attempt at this incubator thing! If this works I could see this becoming very addictive!

I have pips all over the place but no one seems to be in a hurry to hatch. Hoping to find some hatched when I get home from work.

Of the 7 that made it to lockdown, I have 4 hatched so far. 3 silkies - 1 blue, 1 splash, and 1 red - and an OEGB mix. Of the 3 remaining, 1 is pipped. I did a quick check of the other 2

, and 1 is still good, but the other was dead in the shell. Eggtopsy showed some kind of swelling on the head and it looked a bit deformed. So, I have 2 left that are not hatched, and I'm in day 22 as of 11:00 last night. Both are silkies, with 1 of those coming from a BBS pen, but the other wasn't marked, so I call it the mystery egg...I'm hoping for a white

OM Gosh! I had a 2nd egg pip last night and nothing since. I looked in at it not 15 minutes ago, just a pip and nothing more, and now I have another chick! I missed the whole hatching! It got down to business and zipped and hatched so fast! And here I was concerned that it hadn't done anything since last night. Two chicks, four pips, and two unknowns. I'll sit on my hands if I have to to not open that 'bator early though!
