Well, I'm not missing the hatch totally. I am on the road and my DW and kids are at home watching the chicks and reporting via cell phone and email to me. It's still not as good as being there. But we do what we got to do. My math was 1 day off when I set the eggs. I wanted day 20 to be a Friday so I would be home. Next time....

As of 10:30 last night (Thurs) we had 8 hatched and 3 more pipped!

Now for some pictures!......

Good luck Jerry.

I can't wait to get back home, hopefully before mine are all done hatching. I guess I better get busy with that half-completed brooder, huh?

Hey nuts4, I have thought about that to. I'm figuring I'm going to have a hard time sleeping if hatching is going on. I'm thinking about moving my egg into a L G for hatching. I added a small fan to it today. can I get 45 eggs in it? And I've lately seen some of the pictures of hatching going on, and the eggs are sitting in cartons, is it better to have them laying down to hatch?--I'd have thought so.

Jerryn- I would have put mine in egg cartons if they would have fit. My chick is really knocking these eggs all over the place. It can't be good for them. I think its a personal choice. Some people swear by them some people don't.
