You guys are brave, I dont want to have to assist a hatch (no incubating for me)-- but we did look under our broody alot yesterday and my 10 yr old got into the coop and kept lifting her up off the eggs-- now I am concerned we might have caused the pipping egg to lose humidity and become shrink wrapped-- this happened in June to her last clutch-- one of the eggs wasnt pipped but there was a fully formed chick (you could see it breathing(?) inside and half of the shell was sort of crumbled off and the membrane was thick on that shelless half... SO I hope thats not happening again...
