Can you post some pics of your Copper Poppyseed and Stanley adults? Or do you have any yet?

I do not have any of the adults on my property. I got them from a lady who has been working on this breed for a few years. I will definitely post pictures once they hatch. Today is lockdown. I took one of my broodies that I have some "lesser" eggs under, moved her to a small coop and put the copper poppyseed, white poppyseed, Stanleys and a few Ameraucanas under her and she settled on them nicely. Cranked up the humidity in the incubator. It has been difficult because it is so humid in the basement. Natural humidity is 45% - 50% with no water. Putting the water in the center tray takes it up to 60% - 65% and 3 trays full, over 80% so I took the plug out and it is back to 75%. I hope I did not drown them. It is a forced air incubator. It was real easy with the ducks keeping up the humidity but only about 1/2 hatched, the others grew to full form but never pipped. Not sure if they drowned. My second batch, of the fertile eggs, I had 100% hatch with only 3 dieing shortly (pipped through their veins). So this is my 3rd try. I had to throw away 3 more because they were not fetile and just a liquid was in the egg (gross). Luckily they did not explode. 3 more days!

- note to self: do not open the incubator (x 5000). Ugh, it take so long for 36 hours to go by.

Is it ok if I join late?

I've only just found the forum, but my eggs went in on 13th August

I'm using a Brinsea octagon 20 advance - this is my first time incubating... I've not candled along the way at all, I was too scared to be honest! I've tried to leave them alone as much as possible (apart from talking to them from outside the incubator

)
I have 16 eggs in there, all are from my mum & dad's chickens in France - I collected their eggs and drove back to Spain with them, so I hope they've coped with the journey ok!
My parents have 3 roosters who free range with around 25 hens - all of the boys get their share of the ladies, so babies will be a bit of a pick'n'mix! The roosters are La Flèche, Vorwerk & Barnevelder and the hens are Maran, Rhode Island Red, Silver Grey Dorking and some mixes.

This is them

I really hope they hatch!

I set my eggs on the 13th as well. I'll be putting mine in lockdown Wednesday too!

Yep, lock down at midnight tomorrow, starting to get very stressed. Survived the hurricane with no power loss, now they just have to actually hatch....
