Houston - we've got a problem (maybe)
9 of my 12 eggs have hatched
The chicks are still in the incubator and dry. I have one chick still in the shell, that has been struggling for about 7 hours to get out. All I can see is his foot - no beak. The other chicks have been pecking at his foot, and it's still moving, barely. The other 3 eggs have tiny pips, going on 6 hours. The incubator is starting to have an icky odor.
Fellow hatchers - should I remove the dry chicks to the brooder? It has been about 28 hours since the first one hatched, they are all doing really well, but stumbling all over the other eggs.
Should I try to help the one with his foot sticking out?
I don't know what to do!!!
