Setting a double Yolked egg

Regardless of the high probability of failure, I see no reason not to try! Sooner or later someone will pull it off. It may as well be you!

Does anyone know, has anyone ever hatched a double yolk egg and gotten live chicks?

So I candled the health food store double egg this AM. Nothing seemed to be going on, so I went ahead and cracked it. Zip- but it was double...

She really doesn't have roosters on them anymore...But below I have her eggs from 2 weeks earlier that were fertile, and are hatching this week.

And below my own eggs which are behind...by a couple of weeks but hopefully I don't need someone else's eggs any more, plus my eggs/chicks will be more interesting.

Last night I went to the coop and a bobcat was standing by the gate. I chased it down the road, then fell down an enbankment and got scraped up.

These are the first batch of health food store eggs due on the tenth, now it seems this one may be early, but maybe not... See I got these eggs on Aug 18 and prolly set them the same day. which would mean the 9th for a hatch. I did add more of the same eggs to hatch on the 10th. Then I thought they would all hatch on the 10th. Goofy chicken math? goofy hatch day math. Plus not marking on egg when they will hatch.

We had power outs and fires knocking our our internet, etc. I lost some of these chickies a day before hatch due to the power out. 4 hatched. Pics soon.
