Setting (Again) April 16th-18th...

It is a little sad to see your first babies go! I had already sold ten and today I delivered another ten to a lady in town. That leaves me with ten from my hatch and the five that my DGD's and I bought at the farm store....aracanas/americanas/EE's.....something. Never believe what they say. The girls suckered me into buying them....sure was a hard sale!!! They are cute! All my hatch plus the new ones are all the same age and all doing really good!

My incubator is full. Not 41 but 40 as I have a egg o meter in the middle of the turner. That thing has been great. Still have two other thermometers in there but this one stays right on. Even a little hygrometer this time that goes in a reptile encosure. The pet store I went to has a cigar shop next door and when I talked to her about one from over there she really discouraged me. She said this one would be close enough. Am good with that as I hatched the last bunch without the hygrometer as the one I had bought would not calibrate....thing simply does not work!!!

I am at day 11...I think that is right. I have saved it in my phone. I have candled with my little super duper led flashlight that I ordered from incubator warehouse....ten bucks. It is sooooo much stronger than the other two I have. I candled the eggs sitting right in the incubator the other day. Veins everywhere and I could see movement. So, I am good.....just some patience and then let the hatching begin. Even had a three hour power outage one night. The temps got down to 88 degrees. I waited two days and candled and every egg looks good.....well one has a question mark and the egg itself was darker than the others. I am excited. ESPECIALLY as my DGD's blue eggs are all looking really good. Last time there was only one of hers and it did not hatch.

I'm here sorry ladies some friends of mine in iowa lost their house to a tornado we've been helping clean up the town and their moving in with me and my girls for awhile crazy crazy times I cannot believe all the tornados and natural disasters going one we are also replacing our roof was totalled by hail

I wanted spring to come so badly and now that's its brought all these things I wish it was still winter!
Anybody getting up to watch the wedding at 3-4am? I am! And I'm so excited!

Oh, my....had no idea the wedding would be on that early! Will just leave the tv on since DH is out of town....I'll wake up all night but won't miss it that way.

So glad you were able to help your friend. This weather has been the worst ever. I have never really been scared of storms but these were awful and I think being out here in the boonies by myself made it worse! Plus, our 'big kids' that are special needs and living in independent living a ways away really had it rough. The town they live in was hit a few years ago and they are really cautious. For good reason as it seemed like every storm that came through headed right to them!

Thoughts and prayers to all those who were affected by these terrible storms!!!

I've also been watching the storms. It's unreal. Wow Chevy, you have been busy! First things first!

I have eggs that were supposed to leave AL. on the 27th. The tornado hit that state the worst of all, on the 28th. I wrote the gal, said I will look forward to getting an e-mail back from her because that would mean that she is ok. Haven't heard from her yet.

Possible, no power. Prayers for sure..unbelievable! I hope her and her family are ok, I just talked with her on the net the other day!

i gave away the chicks from my first batch, but went to visit them last weekend, and maybe again this weekend, they really are lovely friendly birds.

the fifteen from my second hatch are healthy and happy, weather is warm enough for them to spend lots of time outside this weekend, i'll finish their portable hoop house and start on the coop.

how are yours doing?

I'm so glad you haven't had any tornadoes! You are probably getting a lot of rain?

I didn't watch it, but went and checked out a couple pictures and videos.

They look so happy. Hope it stays that way.

yup quite a bit of rain this spring. it is not raining but much cooler today so little ones won't be outside for long.

I'm pretty excited. I have 5 Nankins that are looking good at this point. My Ameraucanas are pretty dark in there. Had to throw one of those out this last week, but all the others look good. I'm hoping these Nankins keep going strong. Such small eggs, in there with the big guys..and gals.
