It is a little sad to see your first babies go! I had already sold ten and today I delivered another ten to a lady in town. That leaves me with ten from my hatch and the five that my DGD's and I bought at the farm store....aracanas/americanas/EE's.....something. Never believe what they say. The girls suckered me into buying them....sure was a hard sale!!! They are cute! All my hatch plus the new ones are all the same age and all doing really good!
My incubator is full. Not 41 but 40 as I have a egg o meter in the middle of the turner. That thing has been great. Still have two other thermometers in there but this one stays right on. Even a little hygrometer this time that goes in a reptile encosure. The pet store I went to has a cigar shop next door and when I talked to her about one from over there she really discouraged me. She said this one would be close enough. Am good with that as I hatched the last bunch without the hygrometer as the one I had bought would not calibrate....thing simply does not work!!!
I am at day 11...I think that is right. I have saved it in my phone. I have candled with my little super duper led flashlight that I ordered from incubator warehouse....ten bucks. It is sooooo much stronger than the other two I have. I candled the eggs sitting right in the incubator the other day. Veins everywhere and I could see movement. So, I am good.....just some patience and then let the hatching begin. Even had a three hour power outage one night. The temps got down to 88 degrees. I waited two days and candled and every egg looks good.....well one has a question mark and the egg itself was darker than the others. I am excited. ESPECIALLY as my DGD's blue eggs are all looking really good. Last time there was only one of hers and it did not hatch.
