No dont clean them! The hen puts a antibacterial coating on them as thye lay and washing cleans it of.they are pourish and if cleaned gemrs a nget in!Real dirty wpont hurt had some poopy ones that hatched a couple weeks ago.Someone tiolsd me their best hatch was really dirty poopy eggs!.So I just got my eggs(21) YAY! But I noticed a few of them are slightly soiled with just a few streaks. Are those eggs going to be ok? Should I clean them, wipe them, rinse them, or disinfect them before I set them in the morn?
Yes that is. LOL those two were cracked. One of them has become dog food. The other still doing great. Strange enough the one that became dog food wasn't cracked as bad. But once in the incubator it started to get goo coming out of the shell (not near the cracks though) so i removed it.They look Americauna/easter eggers to me.. Idk though, still learning. IS that nail polish on the eggs?
I've had a chick hatch in the past with one eye, and on hatch with the beak messed up. the top part was normal but bottom went to the side. Both grew into good laying hens.OMGoodness!! What a cutie the chick is.. I have yet so come across one with no eyes, missing limbs, added lims, ect. I know i will one day though. I did come across a chick with spraddler leg, with a tendon issue, plus it's bone sticking out of it's foot, but none of the others. Hope this one can get enough strength to live.
EWWW lol and i thought so. I was telling my mom about the whole nail polish trick, but wasn't positive so thought I'd ask. Does it really work?Yes that is. LOL those two were cracked.
