Im also using a genesis hova bator 1588 with an automatic egg turner. I just got it as a gift. I cant wait to use it! Though its my first hatch so I am not filling up I will be doing roughly 20-24 eggs EEs and mixes.

I ordered me one for xmas and I'm using it early LOL I got an egg turner in to

I'm hoping my new eggs come in the mail tomorrow. I have my incubator airing out after wiping it down with lysol. Hoping it's clean enough. Going to start it up tonight and let it run over night and get it nice and warm and everything. Then my eggs will hve to set at least 24 hours before going in.

Ha ha Me too. My husband ordered it for me for xmas but it came earlier than planned when he wasnt home so I recieved it and it came in its original box. SO in turn by accident he is giving me chicks for christmas instead lol. The past 2 days ive been coming up with a monthly chart idea to keep track of egg turning by hand and the different marks for 2 different egg batches so I know kind of who is who. and hes like "isnt that gonna be hard, wouldnt it be easier with an egg turner" I was like "Eh, ill be fine" I really didnt mind the thought of turning them by hand. And then tonight UPS came to the door handed me a package. Hubby handed it to me and said look inside. TADA automatic egg turner. We are picking up all our eggs on sunday and I think I will set them on mon the 3rd. Then the hatch will happen right at school vaca and over the weekend so we all can watch.

Yeah for you couldnt live without my egg turner LOL well guess I could but would be tiresome LOL

Does the day I set my eggs(it will be the morn of the 3rd a monday) is that day one? So I wouldnt add 21 days to the 3rd, I would count the 3rd and add 20 days to that? Is that correct?

day 1 is 24 hours after you set. if you set monday the 3rd at 10 am then tuesday the 4th at 10 am would be day one
