so, we candles the eggs in the 1588 tonight. Day 4. All eggs have a shaded majority and relatively clear area. No veins can be seen yet. All look the same.

Day 9 on our Barred Leghorns. All wiggling around and not minding the weather due to there great sitter. Due the 20th.

Crissy, was in your neck of the woods today lol. Picked up 4 dozen more eggs for the nyd hatch 2 bcm 2 silkie, to go with the every climbing stock pile. Girls only gave me 7 today.

Buuuuuuuuut, Came home to about a dozen chicks hatched so far I've got more eggs to move to lockdown tonight when i pull the hatched chicks, and more still to lock down monday i believe. Everything I get until tuesday goin in the nyd hatch

The babies that hatched /are hatching are they from your ultra bator? You setting all these eggs dont make me feel bad about guessing so high.

Well my bbs eggs came yesterday. .. in mail 7 days. Fat chance to hatch...so.When i get mad i get stubborn so i bought more from the same lady.Shes shipping in a week maybe the xmas rush will be less and will get my eggs by day 4 of shipping?I hope?

Yep all hatching in the ultrabator. up to 22 this morning Went and got the eggs in GA. I'm sure I'll be making the trek again once her other hens start laying again. Ill be in triple digits for the nyd hatch for sure. What issues are you having with your hatches? Maybe we can help figure out whats going wrong

Most make it to lockdown pip but die before they hatch.I think my air holes were to small in my hatcher so i made them bigger.
Also checked my thermometers one was off by 2 degrees.

I think some ppl put in separtators of some kind. Stuffed full i dont know.
Might not work.
Maybe look up what the breeds and colors look like first hatched and then go by that if you can until they are older. There is a webite that shows many of the chicks of breeds but forgot where.Cackle Hatchery has some chick photos but not sure which breeds,YOurs may be in there but for the crosses

I think I am going to make some partitions. I have some of that very light small gauge hardware cloth, I can make it into partitions any shape I want and
it won't interfere with air flow. I might duct tape the edges if they are sharp. will let you know how it turns out. I'm pretty sure the marans will be
hard to tell apart.. but let's see. plus i have eggs from different sources anyway that need to be ID'd. I"m not really so bothered about the crosses
because they are just for laying eggs not breeding.

Some were but not all of them.Some looked like they were to big to turn in order to zip.

its possible. Were they your own eggs? Might be able to do a bit of experimenting and find the cause.
