Cynthia12 my name is Athena! From WV!! Nice to meet you! I think the 29th is close enough. I set eggs on the 28th so maybe we will have some eggs hatch at the same time!!!

Hi Athena. I used to live in VA. I was a lot younger then. lol... I moved to Utah. Quite a change in scenery. I love the huge mountains here though. They are beautiful when you get up into the canyons. They are beautiful to me still at I am driving down the street, and there they are! Right there, rising right up in front of you. Just beautiful.

I have hear that Utah is beautiful!! My dad use to talk about it when he was alive. My mom and Dad use to travel alot before I came along.. it was one of his favorite trips. the mountains are absolutely beautiful!!

goooooo chickies!!!

Decided to go ahead and candle early. Mostly because the green eggs are hard to see anything in once they start, and also the blue can be, but, I saw a lot of veining going on in the blue eggs. Will check in a few more days to see how the air sacs look, then leave them be for a while. Veining!

While checking temp and humidity levels I candled a few, and saw veins on at least three of my eggs (only candled 5). My boy standing next to me was ready to keep candling but I am going to wait a few more days to do that!

Husband has convinced me if we get 6 turkey eggs they are also going in as there is more room in the incubator. We are up to 4.

I have a buff brahma that started sitting on 3 eggs on Dec 26th. So I think she might be a mama by Jan 15th. Keep your fingers crossed for her please. It is going to be cold here for the next two days. Low of 14 and 15 degrees. We put a heat lamp in the coop for her. Best of luck to all of you!!!
