I have 12 guinea eggs on day 27 and 12 chicken eggs on day 20 in my bator. This is my first time so I am hoping I get a good hatch.

I have one chick out and another zipping. No more pips yet that I can see.

I lost count of how many I have in there..lol...I am taking some out today, it is their 3rd day in there so they need food and water.

Day 22 here and we have our first pip!! I was starting to give up hope!!!

Day 20 here. We had 6 eggs under a broody. I checked on her this morning and she was up. I saw that 1 egg was empty but NO chick!

There must have been something wrong with it and she ate it I guess. I was getting the empty shell out of the nest and my broody took off! She was greeted by my roo and took off into the pasture. I'm sure the neighbors got a kick out of watching me chase her! I finally caught her and told her to get back to work! She was only off the nest for 5-10 minites so I'm sure everything will be ok. We'll see!

Day 24 here and 9 of the 16 eggs hatched! I'm considering that a successful first hatch. Here is a pic of our babies, I think the lightest one is a Roo already the way it rules the brooder!

Yeah for you jenandnaomi!!!! I have 4 of 10 millie fluers hatched, today is day 21 and 2 of the 17 barnyard mixes so far. a few more pips going on. will try to get some pics up. I do have a few, I have been standing there watching them long enough. lol

Sure hope there will be more hatching soon. As, I have to work all day tomorrow... I am sure I will be going crazy at work not being able to check on them.

A day early, we have three Black Copper Marans, 1 Wheaten Penedesenca & 1 Runner Duck. It looks like it's going to be a busy night.

On another note, we picked up new babies from a good friend today! We now have 7 one day old Bantam Lavender Ameraucanas! Oh my goodness they are beautiful babies!!! I can't WAIT until Fall~LOL
