Setting eggs June 3rd. Need hatching buddies! Lets have some fun!

Good luck Stephanie. Just went through my first hatch. Racked my nerves! I am ready to do it again!! I don't think I would have made it without hatching buddies on here. My last chick will come out of the bator here in a while. Clean it up, set it up, and probably be ready to set 22 eggs and what ever eggs I get today. Let's have fun

Thanks. I am very excited about getting started. A chicken swap/farm days event is in planning for October in my county. I've already called about reserving a spot. I'm selling some chickens! ...maybe even some turkeys........My first couple hatches will be tests with random eggs, but I am planning on starting a more selective breeding program once I learn a little more.

So, I've got some beautiful raffle winnings to set with everyone on Monday (I know I know... I'll be a day or so late) I won 20 assorted eggs from Taylor Hobby Farms and they arrived on Thursday. EEEEEEEEEKKKK. Gonna be beautiful.... Waiting for 18 more to arrive hopefully before Monday so I can set the whole lot.

Let's do this thing guys. Yaaaaay.

Just got my bator cleand up and ready to go agin after my very first hatching ever! Out of 12 eggs, 6 hatched. Of course I was hopeful, but really didn't think my first time would even have that many make it. My dear, sweet daughter-n-law thought it was great I guess and told a lady she works with I would set 30 guinae eggs on the halves. She is bringing them after work today. I have decided to go buy another bator WITH a turner. My 22 chicken eggs + 30, I don't belive will all fit in the one I have, and that is a lot of eggs to turn by hand.
We are raising Cornish Cross and New Jersey Giants to put in the freezer, and have alot of layers. We will take some birds to our local swap meet to recover a little feed money.
I would have never made it through my first hatch if I hadn't found hatch buddies on another thread here. This place is great! I am looking forward to new buddies (and a couple from last hatch) to get through a succesful hatch agin!

Happy Egging Everyone
