Setting eggs on 6/9 and 6/11 who else? Come join in :)

I set my eggs on the 10th, when di I put them in lockdown? They seem a little slow in developing. I did see some movement tonight but the eggs were not full like they should be. They look almost a week late. I have Trader Joe eggs that I brought back with me, 1500 miles, while on vacation. They were in a cooler 6 days. What do you think?

A little more info - the temp has been at 98 to 100 the whole time no ups or downs except to candle 3 times. I don't have a way to check the humidity but my other hatches came out good. The humidity in the house has been high so I didn't worry about it ( 50, 70, or more). The air sacks look good from what I can tell. They just look slow. I was going yo put them in lockdown tomorrow but I think I might wait until Saturday to do it.

Great news! I have a bunch of pure blue silkies with all 5 toes! Tons of blue silkies and also some silkies that are mixed with another kind of chicken so those ones have 4 toes on the mixed ones but I don't care there are so pretty. Then I had 1 sunflower hen born and 3 seremas born so far and 1 lavender orp and 1 more lav on it's way out of the egg hatching right now.

Your babies sound so cute can't wait to see pictures.

I had 4 dark brahma eggs, 3 hatched one didn't get out of the shell. My next hatch I am keeping the humidity at about 45-50 and checking air cells. My hatchlings seem to dry. The membranes seem to dry and tough for them to get out of the egg. I have the Hova-bater Genisis and I think they dry the eggs more than other baters.

what were you having your humidity at? I always at hatch time use 75-80% never had any problems not even with baby seremas chicks they are said to be the hardest to hatch. I have the genesis to and the other 2 of mine are the hova bator 2362N models. I really don't like my genesis bator that much it lies on temp and humidity.
