frigging cold its 10 below right now--My poor babies...It was only 30 in their coop thisam and their watereers were almost frozen we even have a heater and a heating bulb over waterer...

We have a heat lamp in the coop and the water is still freezing up too. This is the coldest its been here all winter. My coops are insulated well so I think they will all be ok.

I will probably candle the 2 eggs again right before lockdown, just to make sure. I am just worried I will only end up with one! I can always hatch more (which I am planning) but it would be 21 days before any buddies!

I had to leave my beloved incubator unattended for 24 hours. I'm so worried about it my eggs.

Today is lockdown, so they'll be locked down 12 hours late. On the bright side is they're in the brinsea, and not being turned while I'm gone, so it shouldn't make a big difference. The others are in the LG with an auto turner (and an extra thermostat that will shut of the bator if there is a temp spike and then cycle it at about 95 degrees- obviously not ideal, but its a safety back up).

Out of 9 eggs I still have 7 jumpin around in there. Tue night is lockdown, so far so good.

Thanks for the advice on when to pull the chicks out.

Two other questions, do you guys think that "Quick Chick" from Murrey McMurry is worth it? and what breed is EE? I tried looking it up, but couldn't find it!

Thanks,
Dave
