setting eggs on Thurs. Hatch date Feb 4th-who's with me??

of course..Its only as hard and stressfull as you make it Its when day 20 hits--save your stress and anxiety for that day...LOL..thats when the pips and peeps begin! woo-hoo we are almost there.. yah

I can hear them chirping! It woke me up this morning. They are set to come out of the turner on Tuesday. I can't wait!!! 5 good eggs out of the 8 I set.

Day 19

Moved 6 light Brahma/Barred Rocks & 2 Pure Light Brahma to the hatcher this morning.

Hatch date Feb 3rd. Due to the last hatch Failing badly, upped Humidity to 70-74% Temp 101. Hatcher is still air (may have to get a fan for it).


still have 7 mystery eggs in the incubator (hatch Date Feb 16th). Humidity increased to 45-55% and Temp to steady 99-100F.

If this doesnt work I have no clue what to try next.

It's day 20 for me (or day 20 and 31 minutes). The anticipation is killing me.

I have 5 Blue Rock eggs in there, 4 eggs from the local co-op, and 2 Black Copper Marans. So 11 out of 36 that I started with.

The Rock eggs and BCM's all have displaced aircells, but otherwise look good. One of the local eggs is way smaller than the others, but its alive.

They are all in my new Brinsea Eco, temp and humidity are stable. No cheeps or pips yet, but believe me, I'm checking constantly. I did have a few nights of low temps in the LG (98 degrees), so they might be a bit late. But every little squeak I hear, I wonder if its a chick.

Day 18 .. I just took them all out of the turner.. 24 are in cartons .. 3 are laying down. Humidity is rising .. will keep an eye on it for hours ...

We'll see ......

So I was down to 2 eggs the other day, I was unsure of one so I candled it again, and yep it was a quitter. So I have one egg in the incubator. I really hope it hatches, but the poor thing is going to be so lonely

Anyone going to have any extra chicks near me lol.
