setting eggs on Thurs. Hatch date Feb 4th-who's with me??

Congrats on everyones progress!!! Chicks, peep, pips, zips galore!

Day 23 and I have 4 chicks
jumpy.gif
: 2 blue rocks and 2 local mystery egg chicks. I have a 5th one that is not going to make it. It's still alive, but after 24 hours it hasn't moved on its own yet (and its a splash rock

). The BCM's aren't due until tomorrow, but this hatch was late, so they might be too.

So, started with 36 eggs, finished with 4 chicks (maybe a BCM to make it 5, there is only one still moving). So hatch rates are 2/14 Blue Rocks (extra long shipping time), 2/8 local eggs (that were washed and refrigerated and unknown age), and 0-1/14 BCM. I have replacements on the Rocks and BCM's though, so hopefully I'll get a few more soon. I candled the unpipped Rock and local eggs and nothing is moving in them, I'll check one more time before tossing them.

This guy has a swollen eye, you can see it in the picture. He's one of the mystery chicks. He seems fine, but it looks like he's been brawling.
