Oh and just went and checked on my momma and babies and.....
The last egg has a pip in it!!! Crazy! I was going to throw it out yesterday but I thought I felt it move so left it till today....that means those eggs took from mon-sat to hatch...crazy! I just hope it hatches...
I was wondering why she was still sitting on the egg and not up itch the chicks...

That is AMAZING!!!!! 5 days to hatch! Wow!!!

Yep its VERY stressful once they rock or pip , no matter how many time you hatch....Need nerve pills or a beer.
If they are just rocking not pipped it might be tomorrow morning or during the night.
Its hard work and take them a while .Work at it rest..... work at it rest.
Hang in there.... and maybe put a runner to your incubator or the rug will have a worn spot from running in there every 5 minutes to look if you are like me.
HAPPY HATCH! COME ON LITTLE CHICKIE BABIES!

lol i just moved the rugs to where i have been walking to check them at night...

Congrats to all the new hatches. It has been one heck of a day for me. I was supossed to put Picanins eggs in lockdown around noon and when I went it to feed my chicks and look in on nikki's eggs there were 2 chicks hatched already with 2 more pipped. Had major scrambling to do because her hatcher was not at the right humidity. and I hadn't even set the brooder up yet. As all this was happening my favorite silkie chick that just hatched started to fail and had to deal with her also. She is barely hanging on and I know it is just a matter of time before she is gone. I also had to work this afternoon/night and was scrambling to get everything done before I left. I will update with pictures of Picanin's chicks tomorrow. I am exhausted from work and have to be back at 7:30am.

I can't tell you how thankful I am for you!!!!!! Amazing lady!!! (wish I had the 'hug' smilie on my iPad)
