Question: If you are hatching multiple breeds, how do you keep the chickens straight after they hatch? Do you use leg bands? And if so, what type and size? This will be my first time with multiple breeds in the incubator.

I added lukewarm water . already moved a bunch guess I will keep messing with itDid you add cold water and your temps dropped? Move the thermometer? carefully bump up your thermostat if its still staying that low
I'm totally ok with that LOL![]()
Awwww!!! so cute!!!!Started out with 18 of our own eggs, Buff Orpington over Red Sex Links. First candle pulled one porous shell, 2nd candle pulled 3 quitters, for a total of 14 going to lockdown.
Beginning of day 21 late last night, had our first pip. By this morning had 4 pips. The first complete hatch (not the first pipped) just now.
Look how dark![]()
