Setting eggs this weekend! Aug 14th! any hatching buddies?

sorry to hear that... my hatches have been really bad lately... dont know if its the shipping... the eggs... or if my humidity wasnt high enough... so... we changed breeders and upped the humidity a lot... the eggs were so much higher in quality... and the baby chicks that came out seem very healthy compared to the one brahma i got last time....

but the 4 of them hatching out shot my humidity thru the roof... so i had to get them out of there this morning and into a makeshift brooder ... so now the temp and humidity are back where they should be.... hopefully the rest of the eggs will still hatch out... and good luck to your 8

I put 10 out of 14 into lockdown last night. It seemed to take forever to get the temp back up, but it's stable. My humidity got up to 75 overnight, so I had o get that back down. Fingers crossed for those of us still waiting and congrats to those with babies!!!

We have 4 pips this morning!!!!

They are all Silkies that have pipped so far. Hubby is in there cheeping at them thru the bator door

Woke up to 2 chicks and one zipping this morningat 6am.

Now we have 5 and more pipping and zipping.

My wife just called me out to the gradage. Now we have 6!

4 Production Reds 2 Black Sexlinks (production red cockerel over barred rock hen)

We have alot more pipping and on the way.

My broody hen has one that has hatched and two that have pipped, with three more eggs to go. I wasn't expecting them today and happened to look out and see chickens pecking at something in the run. Ran out there and, sure enough, it was a chick that had fallen out of the nest box and somehow gotten into the run. Good thing I looked out when I did or it would have become a little chicken nugget!

Went to lunch and came home to a splash Silkie chick!!!!

Have 6 more pipped, 5 Silkies and a Polish. Come on babies
