Poor dear...somehow I have a feeling he'll be okay though. Was he glued in?Congratulations!
I decided to zipper the backwards chick. I removed a ring of shell and wetted the membrane, and it managed the rest. Poor little thing was contorted so that it couldn't move. I'm not letting myself be optimistic about its chances, but so far its moving well and napping when it can. The two other hatches are going every which way in the brooder- no problems with them!
So! That's three down, three to go. I'll probably stay up a while to catch them.
IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!
I went and got a real good small LED flashlight for better candling, and lo and behold I could finally see into the egg juuuuust a little and I saw...MOVEMENT! It also looks like it's right on track; just a tiny bit of veining and clear space between egg and 'ling that I could see. So little Wobbles still has a shot, after all!
Wish me luck, we'll know on Friday if it's gonna make it. @_@;;
Congratulations!
