Setting eggs Today due 3/11, anyone wanna hatch with me? We got chicks

Going to lock down today when I get home. Hopefully still have 10 good eggs left. Good luck everyone. I need to get the brooder ready. Should I paint the brooder pink and blue?, LOL.

Excellent as a hatcher... Chicks had very stable platform, dried out nice and fluffy very quickly had room to move and stand. Needed to use air to clean clear cover behind the grid protecting the heating element, but the rest of the unit you can just wash in sink and dry.
I added water on day 18/19 to bring humidity up to 48% and it stayed there until eggs started hatching... I kept the vent control at 50% to keep fresh air moving through the unit.
Good luck pfmoore

Hi Guys,
Sorry I've been kind of MIA

I was entered in an online recipe/cooking contest on another forum and got obsessed with that last week.
I'm not a good multi-tasker, but I did win the contest

Well, on day 14 is still had 8 silkie eggs lookin' good and the two eggs I set with them from my own birds seem to be doing fine.
Like you all, I'm in lock down and have 2 silkie pips: one from early this morning and another that pipped just an hour ago.
I'm keeping good thoughts and hopes for everyone's hatches.

Went into lockdown last night. Now for some odd reason I am mildly panicked thinking I have done something wrong or that they aren't going to hatch.. I don't know why, I have always had good hatches and I have done nothing to cause them not to hatch.. It's just pre hatch jitters. That and being way past ready for them to hatch. I have wannafuzzybutthatchitis syndrome I think!!!!!!! Where is the nail biting smiley when you need it.. Ugh!

Feeling a little down today. Came home yesterday afternoon discovered the humidity went up to 85-90%, probably the whole day. Heavy water vapor and condensation in the bator. I filled up the water cup to keep the humidity up at about 60% before I left for work yesterday. For some reason there was a water leak from the cup that fills the entire bottom of the bator causing the increased water surface. I didn't have a choice but cracked the lid a little to slowly air out the moisture. I didnt want to open the bator too much worrying I may cause more damage since I was on day 19, 2nd day of lock down. I may try to suck out as much water from the bottom of the bator later today if possible. Hope I didn't drown those chicks in there. No PIP, sound or movement yet as I am on day 20.

Hang in there

Incubating eggs seems to hatch second-guessing more than chicks.

I'm sitting here wondering if I did something wrong for the entire 21 days

Hi guys!
I'm at 4 pips right now. One hit the 24 hr mark where you ask yourself to "help or not help"
I decided to help and start a zip for him, he seems to be fine, I put him back with the shell 1/4 zipped.
No action on the other pips, they are still less than 24 hrs old.
