I'm so nervous! I just pulled out 8 of my 12 eggs in the incubator...since it was 102.5

and I lifted the lid to cool. I recandled. Of the 4 that had the biggest blackest masses, 2 had movement and 2 didn't. I left those 4 in. The remaining 8 were either completely clear with a yolk shadow, or were at various sizes of "shading", but nowhere near as black and thick as the others. Meaning I saw only half of the egg filled max, excluding the air cell. Tomorrow is lockdown. Do you think I did the right thing by removing them?

Hopefully the 2 that were moving will hatch safely. I don't have much hope for the other 2. I'm worried about my humidity and temps staying consistent these next few days.

Don't beat yourself up over it. Thank goodness it was pretty quick and you didn't have to make a difficult decision. What beautiful chicks you have! Do you have any eggs left? I can't keep up.

I looked at the incubator and it was again up to 102.5 so I opened it up again. Is it okay for me to go ahead and lockdown? Tomorrow would be day 23, normal guinea lockdown day. I set them at 10:30 or so on the evening of April 13th. I pulled out the auto turner and put down that rubbery drawer liner stuff and laid the 4 eggs on their side. I figured it wouldn't hurt to start increasing the humidity so I filled up the water trays and my microfiber. Do you think I should maybe give the eggs one more turn this evening? Guineas normally hatch between day 26 & 28.

Here's my bunch, got lots of pips happening. Opened bator and took a quick snap shot with my phone.
