momsflock, if I'm calculating correctly, you should be on day 21 today. (Set on Friday, due on Friday). The day after you set is day 1. I'm sure you've read that you need to remember that lockdown is exactly that - lockdown! Don't open the bator unless it's an emergency. I also read that if you need to open it for any reason, take it into an extremely hot steamy bathroom to do it (take a portable heater & run the hot shower until you can hardly breathe).

Shouldn't you have a new pullet arriving tomorrow? Maybe think about that instead! (BTW, I will need these same words of encouragement come Monday).

THANK YOU LUTZ!!!! I will feel much better if I have an arrival tomorrow! I did have to open it all the way for about 2 minutes to fix something on the thermostat, but closed it immediatelty. I did not loose humidity, and only a slight temp loss. I hope it does not effect it. I am so anxious!!!!

Normally all eggs should be hatched within 24 to 36 hours....I say normally though. My first egg pipped Sunday morning and hatched on Monday and the last egg pipped Tuesday afternoon and hatched sometime during the night to Wednesday morning.
