Setting eggs today. I'm a hatching virgin.

I just candled my eggs again today, obsessed much?

Anyways sad to say my Salmon Faverolle didn't make it total quitter I cracked it and looks like it only grew maybe 1 -2 days. I also had another RIR quitter, never started actually. But much to my surprise my lone RIR (fridge egg)
I had some fertilized eggs from my in laws, that had been in the fridge for at least 2 weeks, well when I set my 6 shipped eggs I thought what the hell and stuck 5 in with them. I thought for sure they would never develop but I heard some people doing this before.

Anyways sure enough 1 RIR egg is developing and thriving in fact I saw it move around, pretty neat! My 3 BR's are growing and 2 BO's. So in total I am down to six eggs.

I am using a LG still air with turner.

How is everyone's eggs doing. Or more importantly how are you doing? Still checking it every hour or so. Ummm not me that's for sure!

I check my bator in the morning and afternoon and then again before bed.

I'm going to candle again on monday.

We are doing good, we still have 5 (not bad for eggs that had been the frig). We candled tonite and saw a little movement, but they are getting big and harder to see. We can't wait until they hatch!

I know I am so excited also, in fact I have already ordered more eggs to start hopefully next wednesday or thursday. I think the hatchoholic bug has hit me.

I had to toss 5 eggs and one was a STINKER!! My bator went up to 109 on Easter Sunday...so I didn't think I would have anything left. I may have 2 hatch out of 12, but that's OK..I know what went wrong and it's been corrected! Best to the rest of you!!

So what do you guys see this late in the game of candling? I am on day 17-18 and all I can see is the air sac really. In a few lighter eggs I can still see veins and a little movement. I feel like 2 days ago I could see a lot more! I guess this is a good thing??

Shoot, Shoot, Shoot.
This morning the temperature in my incubator started dropping and dropping. I put a jar with warm water in the incubator to keep it warm and ran to the local store to buy a new incubator. When I got back, the temperature was way too high, although it was only for a few minutes. I have 5 days left, but I'm wondering if I'll get a hatch at all.

Oh no, I really hope they will be fine, I am sure they will if it was only a few minutes.

Mine go in lockdown on Friday and I am getting super excited about it. As far as candleing I haven't candled since Sunday which was day 13 for me, one egg I could see really well moving and all, but the rest we dark masses and hard to make anything out, I figure it just gets harder to see anything clear from here on out.
